Effective July 1, 2026 · updated September 7, 2026 (added Telegram and Google Fonts as recipients; clarified caching and deletion) · Strua Practice is run by Nicholas Gehle, Psy.D. — a licensed psychologist, which is why this page is short, plain, and honest.
What we collect, and when
- If you run a Recognition Score scan: the website address you submit, the scores our tool computes for it, and standard technical logs (handled by Cloudflare, our hosting provider). Scans do not require an account or an email.
- In your own browser: your past scores are saved in your browser’s local storage so we can show you whether a score moved. That history stays on your device, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
- If you choose to email yourself your report: your email address, together with the website you scanned and its scores, so the follow-up we send can actually be about your site.
- If you share your practice ambitions in the tool: the text you submit, stored so we can understand what therapists are trying to build.
What we do with it
- Email you what you asked for — your report and the First Hour guide — and occasional Strua Practice emails afterward. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing actually works.
- Dr. Gehle may personally follow up about your website. That's a feature of a founder-run tool, not a marketing automation.
- Improve the tool using aggregate patterns (for example, "most scanned homepages don't name who they help"). Published statistics are always aggregate — never your site, named, without your permission.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data. Not to anyone, not ever.
- We don't run third-party ad trackers on this site.
- The Score tool only scans the address you type in. Separately, for our published Recognition Index, we scan a sample of publicly listed practice homepages and report aggregate numbers only — never a named site. If your practice was in that sample and you'd rather it weren't in future editions, email [email protected] and we'll exclude it.
Who processes it
Cloudflare (hosting, the 24-hour results cache, anonymized analytics, and standard server logs), Kit (email list and the $49 checkout) together with Stripe, which processes the card payment on Kit’s checkout page — we never see your card details, and Google Fonts (the two typefaces on this site load from Google's servers, which see your IP address like any web request). When you leave an email, share an ambition, or ask about licensing, that submission is also sent as a message to the founder's phone (Telegram) so he can reply personally. No one else receives your data, and we never sell it.
Your choices
Unsubscribe anytime via the link in any email. Want your email and scan records deleted? Write to [email protected] and the founder will remove you from the mailing list and delete the notification messages himself — not a ticket queue. Two honest limits: the 24-hour results cache expires on its own, and our anonymized analytics rows are written once and expire on a fixed schedule rather than being edited one by one. Your browser's own score history is yours to clear; it never leaves your device.
A note on scope
This site is about your practice's website, not your clients. Nothing here collects, stores, or touches client or patient information, and nothing here is therapy or clinical advice.
