Terms of Use
Effective September 7, 2026 · These terms cover struapractice.com and the tools on it. The $49 kit has its own license, linked below.
1. Who we are.
Strua Practice is run by Strua, LLC, a Florida limited liability company founded by Nicholas Gehle, Psy.D. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What this site is — and isn't.
Everything here is practical, educational guidance for the business side of running a therapy practice: your website, your directory profiles, your local listings. It is not therapy, clinical advice, legal advice, or ethics or compliance advice. Requirements differ by profession, state, board, and payer. Your licensing board and, where it matters, a qualified attorney are the final word for your situation. Nothing on this site creates a professional relationship between you and Dr. Gehle.
3. The free Recognition Score.
- What it does. When you enter a web address, our scanner fetches that one public page once, reads its text without running its scripts, and scores it against a fixed set of written rules. No AI is used in the scan. The result is shown to you on the page.
- What you may submit. Public web pages of a practice you own or are authorized to have assessed, or pages you are reviewing for legitimate professional purposes. Do not enter addresses that contain passwords, tokens, or private information, and never enter anything about a client.
- What we do with results. Results are cached for 24 hours so re-running the same address is instant, then expire. We keep aggregate statistics about scores and finding categories to improve the tool and publish benchmarks; we do not publish a named site's result. Your own browser remembers your past scores so we can show you if they moved; that stays on your device.
- Limits. The score measures what a page communicates, by rule. It is not an audit, a ranking, a guarantee of search or AI visibility, a compliance review, or an assessment of anyone's clinical work. Some pages cannot be read by our scanner; that is a limit of the tool, not a finding about the site. Use the results as a starting point for your own judgment.
4. The widget and the badge.
Publishers may embed the scanner widget for free. Keep the attribution link, do not place it behind a paywall, and do not present it as an endorsement of any paid service. The badge shows a site's live score from our scanner; if you place it on your site, your visitors' browsers request the badge image from us (we see the same technical information as for any web request). We may change, improve, or withdraw the widget or badge at any time.
5. Acceptable use.
Don't abuse the site or its tools: no bulk or automated scanning beyond ordinary use, no attempts to reach non-public or internal systems through the scanner, no scraping of our content for redistribution, and no interference with the service. We may block access that does these things.
6. The free guide and the Builder's Letter.
If you request the free guide, we email it through Kit, our email provider, and you'll receive the Builder's Letter afterward. Every email has an unsubscribe link and our postal address. Details are in our Privacy page.
7. Practice Builder: Get Found ($49).
The kit is sold through Kit's checkout in US dollars and is governed by the Individual Practice License (read the license) — licensed to one practice brand, with 12 months of updates, and a refund on request within 14 days of purchase if you have not downloaded it. Kit processes payment; we never see your card details.
8. Our content and other people's names.
The text, scanner, guides, benchmark, and kit are ours (or licensed to us). You may quote the Therapist Recognition Index with attribution ("Therapist Recognition Index, Strua Practice, Q2 2026"); the aggregate dataset is offered under CC BY 4.0. Psychology Today, Google, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, SimplePractice, and other names on this site belong to their owners; we use them only to describe those services and are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
9. Privacy.
How we handle your information is described on our Privacy page, which is part of these terms.
10. No warranties; limits on our liability.
The site, the scanner, the widget, the guides, and the benchmark are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not promise any particular result — no ranking, recommendation, inquiry, booking, or compliance outcome. To the fullest extent the law allows, Strua, LLC's total liability to you for anything arising from this site or its free tools is limited to US $50, and for the paid kit to the amount you paid; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some states don't allow certain limits, in which case these apply to the extent permitted.
11. Changes.
We may update these terms; the effective date at the top will change and material changes will be noted here. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute may be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
